more from North Carolina

This is where Ashley and JD live...nice place! It is an end unit, above the garage is the kitchen, and the top floor is the girls bedroom and JD and Ashley's bedroom.
Below are some pictures from the Raleigh NC temple...Eliza and I.Sarah sitting in the beautiful geraniums.
It was cloudy with a little rain.
After the temple we headed BACK to the mall. I spent the rest of my kids inheritance. It sure was fun.

Ghost Herd

This morning I took these pictures behind our house! I couldn't tell if this reminded me of an eeery Halloween picture or did it make me think of what's coming our way......... FOG!!!!!

Fun In No. Carolina

This is my first post on Andersonville! This is very beautiful back in this area. The mall is huge and shopping is the best. We have been to Panera Bread for lunch and we had potato soup and barbecued chopped chicken salad. What a treat! The temp. was 90 degrees, very humid and hot. It feels much like Hawaii. Maybe I'll move back here and be the Nanny for my cute great-grandkids.(Eliza and Sarah). We are having an exciting time.

The Great White Hunter

After several days of scouting and hunting in Southern Utah, Curtis bagged this nice bull elk on Thursday morning, September 17, 2009. Curtis shot and dropped the bull just a few feet from the road (wouldn't his Uncle Farrell be proud)? Curtis was wearing his lucky Peppermill Casino hat (courtesy of Grandpa Tom) slightly tipped to the side in the Anderson style.
Curtis found this bull after 8 days and 100+ miles of hiking. Passing up on multiple smaller bulls during those days he was in search of a monster bull. He has 30 cows with him and was beating up on the smaller bulls in the area. Curtis hit him with the first two shots at 300 years and he didn't make it far. He is a typical 6x6 with exceptional mass and is a real trophy.

The Carter Clan!

The CARTER FAMILY... 2009

I think that starting this family blog is a great idea!!!!! We are excited to hear about your news and to see your pictures that you post!!

We went to Park City for a couple of nights and had quite fun! Kevin and Landon LOVED going to Swiss Days!! They both would rather go to Swiss Days than their favorite tool store. I know, I know...... I'm just being sarcastic!!! I do have to say though, Kevin and Landon were good sports going to that CRAZY event that takes place every Labor day weekend!!!

"School Days"
School started on August 26th,09.
Landon 7th grade, Alexandra 9th grade & Melissa 12th grade.

We took the kids up to Strawberry to pick huckleberries.
Our favorite thing to make with huckleberries are pancakes! Yummy, yummy
for our tummy.

Casharoo... as we call him.

Kristen and Cash.

Kevin a.k.a "Slim" branding the yearlings!

Labor Day 2009 started cleaning the garage and look what I found.....a 1972 Oldsmobile Delta 88 with an amazing 3272 ORIGINAL miles on it. Even the sales receipt was sitting on the front seat.

After I finished resurfacing our driveway (see how pretty it looks) I pulled the car and and took a picture. Actually the drive way was just sprayed so it looks like a semi professional photo.

I think I am going to list it on KSL - its taking too much space in the garage. It is either sell this or sell Pam's car as we don't need four cars for the two of us.

missing good ol' cache valley

I guess I will start this blog off with its first post. Today I am missing good old Cache Valley, the picture Dad posted at the top of this blog makes me homesick. Last night JD and I went to the Duke football game and they played a song that they play at the USU games, I know for a split second even JD felt a little homesick. We are doing well, so far it has been a great adventure. Hoping our family who is reading this, is planning a trip to NC within the next two years!
