Beautiful fall day at Mom's house.

The leaves have fallen and it was beautiful today. "Fall Is In The Air." Do all of you recognize this saying? Yes! We miss him.

Happy Birthday Tommy

Today, November 8th is Tom's 5th birthday and we celebrated at Crystal Springs in Honeyville. After the presents and cake we all went to the pools. Even though it was freezing outside, the pool was warm and steamy. The kids had life jackets on so they just paddled around in the hot water. When it go too warm, they shot over to the cold pool and enjoyed a quick cool down.

Since we were only able to get a limited number of passes to ride the trip the top of Rendezvous Mountain, we went up in shifts. A view of the fall color from the tram car.

Julie, Kristin and Cash at almost 10,500 feet. Although the wind was blowing the temperatures weren't too bad. The Grand Teton is in the background. Just a few weeks and they will be skiing off of this peak.
October photo of Grandma Glo that was taken in Jackson Hole on a last minute outing. Julie, Kristin, Cash and Landon - and the Nelson family were all there.

Time passes so fast and we are blessed to look back at the memories which are what hold real value for all of us. One of these times, we will all be able to go skiing for a day.

Idaho Bear

Jim Johnson from Paradise sent me this picture of a bear he shot just north of Soda Springs. Just goes to show that the bear are coming back - along with the wolves.

Idaho Eye Infection

Landon Carter (from Idaho) has been in terrible pain for weeks. He is suffering from pain caused by his lazy left eye and a case of acute hemorrhaging of the right eye. The only cure - more Utah! Happy Halloween (celebrated daily in Preston).

More - Family Photos

Anderson Family Photo 2011

Its amazing how fast time passes and how our families are growing. There is nothing like the white light on the camera that flashes 10 times then takes the picture. It holds (for the most part) the attention of everyone.

BUNCO!

Grandma's 2nd Annual Bunco party was absolutely fabulous. Once again a Nelson (Sierra) won first place (suprise, suprise)...but Alexandra and I rounded the top 3. I love this picture! Grandma-thanks for being the best Grandma in the entire world.

ArIzOnA Feb 2011

We have had such a fun time down here in Arizona. It has seemed so nice to get out of the cold weather for a few days. It makes us not want to ever leave and come home to all the snow and cold. :( As the saying goes, "All good things must come to a end." Cash was good to be dragged all over Yuma. Cash even decided to fit in with all the other senior citizens and had grandma great take him for a spin in the wheelchair. It has been a little chilly while we have been here. We are just getting ready to leave to go to the airport here in a few minutes so I better go now. -Kristen, Julie, and Grandma.

Jackson Hole Tram

"This mountain is like nothing you have ever skied before" kind of says it all when you're standing in line for the Jackson Hole Tram. A 9 minute ride to the top and then it is a steep decent down Rendezvous Bowl. Well it was a beautiful, bluebird ski day and the snow was perfect for carving turns off of the top. Fifteen minutes later we were at the bottom ready for another run!

Cooking with Grandma Pam (Mission Preperation)

Will and Tom came to Grandma's house for the afternoon. These two were excited to put on aprons and help make batter for cupcakes. They did it all - added water, put the eggs in, the oil and watched everything get mixed up.
Grandma Pam taught them how to scrape the bowl and get every bit of batter out and into their mouths.
The best part are the smiles on these two. I would expect to see them on the Food Network on their own reality show, "Missionaries in the Making".

Henry Smith Burnett

This is little Henry Burnett the day he was blessed. He was blessed by his father Dave on October 9th, 2010. All of the family (both Burnett's and Anderson's) were there for this special day.
Baby blessings are a wonderful thing and this practice actually originates in scripture to the time of Christ. The Savior said, "Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me". The Bible tells us, "he laid his hands on them". The pattern has been set - little children are to have hands laid upon them and given a blessing so they might commence their journey in mortality with the blessings of Heavenly Father upon them.
The practice was lost for hundreds of years but has been restored in the gospel today. "Every member of the church of Christ having children is to bring them unto the elders before the church, who are to lay their hands upon them in the name of Jesus Christ, and bless them in his name. Thats why in the LDS Church, infants are giving a preisthood blessing in Sacrament meeting (before the church)
This is Henry on Sunday the 9th just after his blessing. He is a cute little boy ( in Dave and Michelle tradition). So, if you've ever wondered why we give babies blessings in Sacrament meeting, now you know.

Happy Halloween from the Andersons

October 27th, was the 2nd annual Anderson Halloween party. As you can see, Snow White and a prince from some unknown land hosted the party which was held in Hyrum, Utah.
Grandpa Gary was the prince and he welcomed everyone who came to the door. Do you like the purple bloomers?
Snow White (who looks absolutely beautiful) and the Prince are in love. The buckles on the shoes are a special feature don't you think?

We had a vampire, a princess, a fireman, Ironman (super hero), a witch, 2 Snow Whites, a little pumpkin boy and a hippie girl from the 70's.
These two (yes indeed, snow white #3, and a fairy) were sad to miss the party!
Curtis was taking it easy (along with grandpa) as Snow White did most of the work.

Oh no, is that the evil witch giving Snow White a poison apple??
Snow White takes a bite of the shiny red apple. A speical treat for her.

Suddenly she goes into a deep sleep. Nothing will wake her up except the kiss from her HANDSOME prince. Do you think he woke her up or let her sleep....

And they lived happily ever after. The end.
